Decathlon...

...normally relates to a track and field competition, consisting of 10 events. In my case, it relates to a tailwheel aircraft, made in 1973, constructed from wood, steel, aluminum, and fabric, powered by a Lycoming IO-320-E1A which must have 10 different gremlins running around in it... because the crazy thing still doesn't run correctly.
Never the less, it is a fun, sweet little airplane. Unfortunately, we aren't doing any aerobatics in it at the moment, but you can feel the potential when you tuck into a 50 degree steep turn... and it just settles in for the ride. It's like the runner's high, hitting the sweet spot on your driver, and listening to the purr of a Ferrari... all in one ;) (sorry for all the guy analogies... it's all I got).

Let's see... since last post, I turned 22 (feels old, then I remember my parents, and feel young again ;) ), was sick for awhile, got some tesing for celiac disease and came out looking like I might be high risk for diabetes, got really tired, bounced back from that with God's strength, and talked with my parents overseas a couple times (they're now in Switzerland)... among other things, like Student Council, orchestra rehersals, City Gate... oh, and a person I devote just a little of my time to, Dawn ;).

Anyways, here's some pics of the Decathlon (specifically for Aunt Joyce :) ).

This is a picture I took last week after an impressive hailstorm (1/4-1/2" hail! Big deal for Spokane...)
