Old Becomes New

I love it when a plan comes together.

Not saying that the process towards a Moody Aviation A&P school has been daisies and lollipops, but it's quite fulfilling knowing that God is obviously the only one who could possibly be pulling it all together.

We recently passed day 90 of the building renovation project; sufficient time to transform a pre-WWII hangar (see the history of the 141st Air Refueling Wing here; the ace of spades insignia still adorns the front of the hangar) into a largely modern and almost completed aviation maintenance hangar. In a week and a half, we will begin the final push towards outfitting the facility by setting up a machine shop, welding lab, smart classroom (interactive projector and HD classroom recording with streaming... amazing), offices, and lounge area. Shortly (VERY shortly) after that, we'll have an FAA inspection, when they will verify that everything we said would be there, is there, and that all items are functioning properly. On February 22, we'll hold our orientation day for our new students (who are extremely motivated and excited).

We would appreciate your prayers in the coming weeks as we deal with last-minute issues that may come up.

As a praise, we have been able to find our needed instructors! Continue to pray for team unity and sanity as we make nearly everything from scratch :)

The following are a few pictures of the work in progress, look for better and more-completed ones coming in the next newsletter!

I am thrilled to hear such great progress is being made in the final stages of the new A&P program. My hat is off to you for the excellent work you have done and continue to do. Be assured of my prayers!
