Man... I love the 206

First and foremost, I ask for prayer for Moody. We had the nosegear collapse on one of our 182's during landing at Coeur d' Alene, ID, today, causing a propstrike. If you're familiar at all with aviation, you probably know that this is a major headache. It will require a complete engine teardown and inspection (unfortunately, this is also a brand-new engine, as of last December), probably replacement of a good amount of parts, and repair of the nose and nose strut. For those of you currently lost... it's expensive and takes a long time.

On a happier note, I flew to a gorgeous airport today on my 206 cross-country: Grand Coulee Dam Airport. It's located on the edge of Banks Lake, near the Columbia River, just west of the Grand Coulee Dam; the largest concrete structure in the US. The entire lake is surrounded by 400-500 ft cliffs... one beautiful lake. Here are some pictures my instructor Bruce took as I approached the airport, then as I was flying the pattern.
