Since I last wrote, I was at home for 2 1/2 very nice weeks of rest and enjoying time with family and Dawn and friends. (waits for comment from mom: "pfft, yeah, I'LL say, with DAWN!", complete with eye roll) Thanks for all your prayers and support, Dawn and I were able to work through some things and get a good idea of a timeframe of when we'd like to get married, so it gave us something to work for and look forward to.

Since I've gotten back to Spokane, I jumped headfirst into transitions. I flew the 182RG for my first few weeks, and just started in the 206 (a very common mission aviation plane used overseas). I loved flying the 182 (pretty darn fast airplane), but the 300HP in the 206 and large payload is quite nice as well.

This weekend, I'll be flying to Salem, Oregon, in a 182, along with most of our fleet, to attend a mission aviation fly-in in Newberg. However, I'll be spending some time with my Aunt Linda, Uncle Jerry, and cousin Jonathan, since they live in Salem! So, I'm looking forward to this trip, it should be quite interesting (and I have to fly it instruments-only, but without GPS :( sad day).
After my next transition (in the 206), I'll be starting in the Bellanca Decathlon for my tailwheel training. It'll be interesting, but thankfully I'm pretty skinny, so I can take more fuel than most guys can with their instructor ;)
Thank you so much for all your prayers! Be praying I'd be able to find and secure a job for 2 or 3 months while I'm home from Dec. - early Mar.; I've gotten a few scholarships, but this last year is quite expensive, so I'd like to keep my debt as low as possible.
Also, be praying for energy, safety, and alertness while I fly and work in the shop... We've been putting in a lot of 5am flights to keep our schedule going, and it's wearing on all of us.
Thank you!
